There isn’t one single room that doesn’t bring something interesting to this house. Even if its just a light switch or the way the floors are laid, its all part of the story this house tells. The neighborhood looks nice too!

This is a delightful variation on a Swiss Chalet, combined with a mild dose of Art Nouveau. The chalet influence is everywhere with the balconies, the open cut work and trim on the gable and roof edges.
The Art Nouveau influence is more subtle. The porch columns appear stretched, as though they were pulled upward while hot. The newels on the staircase and one of the mantels are also quietly influenced by Art Nouveau.

I really, really like this house. I’m surprised that even the rear elevation has architectural merit, unlike many of this era which have awkward, tacked on additions. I also love the color of all the wood…..not dark, heavy and foreboding like so many. This house has a very pleasant vibe.

How refreshing to see the whole house and not one speck of carpet! Very well taken care of too!

A beautiful house on a whole street of beautiful homes. The kitchen would be the one room that needs some help, in my opinion. I love all the light fixtures in the house!
