    Wow, pretty spectacular house! not far at all from UMass-Amherst & Northampton, on Rt. 91 so a good location for commuting.

      I think it was opened up at some point to create a grand space to match the impressive exterior. Seems a bit silly – the foyer, dining room and parlor work better as separate spaces, methinks. It wouldn’t be that difficult to fix. Great house overall!

      According to a few online sources, the house served as a private men’s club during the mid-20th century. It seems likely that walls were removed during this period to create a larger space.

    For those old house lovers who are fans of the open floor plan, this lovely house will surely have great appeal – and the fact that it was done with sensitivity to the architectural integrity of the house is a huge plus. I can’t imagine that it will be waiting long for new owners…

    Beautiful to see secondary and interior doors that match the front doors. Love the wallpapers. Sometimes $700K homes don’t meet expectations but this one certainly does. Hope the future owner doesn’t go mucking it up to fit something it was never intended. For the serious buyer, there’s much that isn’t pictured – bet it only enhances this delicious property.
