I grew up and have spent most of my life in Tennessee but have also lived in GA, FL, TX and (briefly) England. My family lived in a rented antebellum home when I very young, and although the home has long since been torn down, my infatuation and love for old houses has stayed with me for the past many decades. My parents are happily still living which keeps me in a city where I cannot satisfy this long-term yearning so this website is my “happy place.” I’ve traveled a great deal, albeit always on a tight budget, and my favorite places are where the architecture is well over 100 years old, good manners still are the norm and “fast” is not necessarily a good thing.
