I am a retired lawyer who is restoring an early Georgian/Greek Revival Home, Clay Hill, in Harrodsburg, KY. Clay Hill was the boyhood home of James Magoffin, founder of El Paso, TX, Beriah Magoffin, Jr, KY's first Civil War Governor, Susan Shelby Magoffin, who wrote Down the Sante Fe Trail and into Mexica, and Ebenezeer Magoffin, CSA Colonel who escaped as a POW in St. Louis.
