You will be amazed when you step into this stunning 1800's historic home namely ''The Samuels House.''Located in the Samuels area, which now has Cox's Creek as post office address, this home has a very rich history dating back to the Samuels family,& contributes to the birth of the bourbon industry in both Nelson & Marion counties. This home has been renovated &kept very close to original by both past& present owners. In 1784, Robert Samuels Jr, captain during the Revolutionary War, was granted a Corn Writ for approx. 60 acres of land near Bardstown, which would later become Samuels Depot, now known as Samuels area. It was here that Robert began making bourbon. Note that he was appointed role of distiller for George Washington at this time.
