Seems only fitting to find this late 19th Century Victorian farmhouse nicely situated on a pretty, tree-lined acre, just outside downtown Florence, Colorado-the Antique Capital of the State. This regal 3-story brick masterpiece, built in 1886, boasts 6 spacious bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms, a large rustic kitchen, and 2 laundry areas. Outside, adjacent to the fountain, gardens and red brick patio, you'll find a 1 bed 1 bath brick cottage, aptly named Garden Room. The garden area, where lush lawn, ornamental grasses and mature shrubs dance in the breeze, and century-old Maples provide shade, also features a welcoming gazebo complete with comfortable seating and a hot tub. A 2000 square foot carriage house with a loft provides storage for vehicles, maintenance equipment, a workshop, or future expansion. The property is centrally located among many regional attractions and is currently operated as a successful B&B. This is your opportunity to own a turnkey business in close proximity to all of the amazing recreation activities of the area: Gold Medal waters of the Arkansas River, Royal Gorge Bridge, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, hot springs-and of course antiquing.

I quite like this property, and have a look at another incredible stove in Photo 9!

  2. Oh that stove!! I so love that kitchen! Not sure realistically I could make a kitchen with no cabinets work for me but I do so love the authentic look of it.

My husband and I almost bought this home 20+ years ago, before health issues forced us to withdrawal our offer. Beautiful old home! The counter in the kitchen is from an old country store that has glass displays to show what was sold by weight in each drawer, rice, beans, etc. The garden room was originally a summer kitchen and the carriage house was the original barn. There was an old log cabin on the side of the property that desperately needed help back then. It doesn’t appear to have survived. At one point the house served as the Florence hospital. Nice small town with some good restaurants. Close to the federal prison which actually helps keep crime rates down. As I said, beautiful old home.
