This elegant estate property is tucked away at the end of a Kula lane where the climate is mild and the views are spectacular. The sweeping entry driveway is edged in glorious jacaranda trees with their vibrant purple blooms. Built in 1926, this grand estate is steeped in Maui history and has been the site of many wonderful island gatherings. The estate includes 16 acres of beautiful upcountry land, 8 of which are manicured and planted with gardens of protea, day lilies, azaleas, fruit bearing trees, exotic palms, a Japanese garden and rows of orchid greenhouses. Walk along the tree lined paths from the 5, 000 sq.ft. main home with a paneled library, formal living and dining rooms, butler's pantry and grand staircase leading up to the upper floors where the master suite with office and art deco fireplace and chandelier are located. There are four additional bedrooms and baths on the upper two floors. Next stop is the 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage at the beginning of the property with a free standing garage building with a studio apt above, then down the drive to the 2, 000 sq. ft. more modern home with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, vaulted ceiling and wood floors with radiant heat at the bottom of the manicured lawn. Walk past the protea beds up to the main house with the garage building at the edge of the entry drive where there is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath apartment located above. This is an opportunity to enjoy a fabulous compound lifestyle on Maui. Call today for your private tour of this hidden Maui gem.

Looks are a little deceiving on this one. The grounds and the house from the outside are STUNNING, Interior is a little disappointing though. I do love the Kitchen and that European fireplace in the last pic.

It’s so interesting to see a Tudor looking house in this tropical setting! What a fantastic property! I love that it’s not all updated. I wouldn’t do a thing to that kitchen. But I’m sure anyone with the $$$ to buy this will do a complete overhaul, unfortunately.

Don’t know what it is; but I’d call it the Chihuly tree. 😉

What do you think the deal is with the tile flooring? The wear pattern around the edges of the Library (?) room seems unlikely. More likely at the bottom of the stairs but still…weird.

I was not expecting to come across a massive tudor revival when i clicked on Hawaii! The exterior and grouds of the property are stunning
