Perfect size! Cute as can be.

  2. So many GORGEOUS homes on this site. But they’re usually oh so large. This is just my size. Someone please scoop this up before I move 1/2 way across this country..

Oh Hell…GO FOR IT!!!! The West Coast is wonderful. You probably know some people who live out here. You might want to look at the Sunset Western Garden Book to see how the weather sounds.

Dayton is not shown on the Sunset map but it is so close to Walla Walla that I used that area to place Dayton in Zone 3B, with the caveat that there are always microzones within the Sunset Zones and they are not indicated.

Sunset ZONE 3B: Mildest areas of intermountain climates

Zone 3b is much like Zone 3a, but with slightly milder winter averages of 19 to 29°F (–7 to –2°C) and extremes that usually bottom out between –2 and –15°F (–19 to –26°C). Summer temperatures are a bit higher than in Zone 3a—mostly in the high 80s and low- to mid-90s. Zone 3b offers one of the longest growing seasons of the intermountain climates. Most of it lies in the warmest parts of eastern Washington’s Columbia Basin, with bits in Lewiston, Idaho, and parts of the Southwest.

For those who may be interested, Sunset also published a very short run edition of their Sunset National Gardening Book, It is useful for all areas of the country. It’s out of print but Amazon usually has offerings. Excellent reference.

  3. Love the original dark wood, and hardware. The stove is fantastic.

    wrong for my taste

I LOVE this cute little house….from the “possum belly” cabinet and the brick showing in the kitchen, to the hand worn knob at the top of the stairs….this house has so much character.

I wish the bathroom hadn’t been updated upstairs….I’m sure it was charming.

The kitchen layout flows well too, with dishwasher next to the sink. But where’s the refrigerator?

The listing says there is central air and a heat pump. Are those pellet stoves, and are they just an additional heat source? We had a wood burning heater in the house I grew up in , but they are not seen as often anymore.
