Grand lady in her day, I’m sure. She’s just crying out for some help…

Handsome house, with unpainted woodwork. A treasure at a good price.

The home has great potential. A lot of original features still there. I noticed dome missing tiles on one fireplace surround. Are those going to be hard to find? It would be nice to see some bathroom and kitchen pictures as those are two areas I would expect to see the most changes, good or bad!

I saw that, I’m thinking go in w. plain black at the top end.

Personally I’d see if it was possible to remove a strip or 2 of the matching tiles from the front edge of the floor area. Use those to fill in the missing vertical ones. Then use a complimentary tile wherever you removed the floor ones (thus giving the floor tiles a border or leading edge).

I agree. If they exist somewhere perfect! But I’d rearrange them if not. Maybe find another historic tile that will fit and create a border in an historic way. I dont know if I’d go with black though. It’s too obvious a fill. No disrespect.

I like that idea! In a perfect world, they have them saved somewhere. That said. your idea seems to make the most sense and the most practical!

That ramp on the front porch, will be great for my roller blades. Looks like cobble stone stree thru front window. Let’s investigate.

I am obsessed with the cobblestones paving East Van Buren Street.
