No listing description at the time of this post but it’s new to the market so maybe soon.

In 1833, a century after the Reformed Dutch Church was built at Coxsackie, a second congregation was formed and built their Church on Ely Street for the convenience of members who lived near the river. The posted house was the parsonage built soon after, the Greek Revival style matching the church which still stands on the hill to the left. At the time, the street was part of the Greene-Albany Turnpike, the major road through town.
The parsonage was sold around 1900 and became the home of John Baxter Van Wie, a Civil War veteran wounded at Gettysburg who became an auctioneer. In more recent years, the church was also sold and converted to a residence, having lost its once prominent clock tower. Coxsackie is a quiet little village full of old houses supported by two large prisons on the edge of town.

Quite a charming place with a ton of potential! I’m assuming the windows have been replaced on the main floor as that window pattern is not what I would expect to see in an 1850’s Greek Revival!
