Fun fact … Cisco, TX is the town where Conrad Hilton opened his very first Hilton Hotel in 1919. It’s still there and you can’t miss it if you ever drive through!

Could be nice with some money. The last streetview was 2013. Hope the neighborhood got better and the property. Looks like a junkyard was right behind building and burnt down and abandoned houses across streets.

  3. I stayed in Cisco a few yrs ago, Cute town with a great main street and a lot of historic restoration on the main street and young businesses being started. Cisco is also a getaway for the wknd type of town. This school was for sale then and we went to see it and even had an inspection, the price was half of what it is now(its gone up!) and honestly it looked better then. I was sad to see it back up for sale again as I was hoping someone purchased it and was fixing it up. We really considered buying it. There are tin cielings in some of the classrooms, the waterfountains in the halls, boys and girls bathroom, coat closets with hooks in them, chalkboards still on the walls(look past all the bright colors) The land is beautiful all around it. It wasn’t a junkyard behind it, it was the previous owners stuff in the aerial old shots which was part of the concern with the purchase as all of that stuff needed to be moved so I see it now has. We had an inspector come who said the place was built like the Rock of Gilbraltar and crawled underneath it. The issue is the roof. Its a flat roof and its leaking terribly and has done internal damage. The previous owners had repairs, which was a new roof built over the flat roof, which has caused too much weight. Look at the yellow rooms and those beams? Those are helping to hold up the ceiling. So basically the entire roof needs to be taken down to the studs. We called all around for roofing companies and estimates, most didn’t even call back, we got ONE who did but said “We have been there before and its expensive” in the end, they quoted us $220,000 for a new roof. Its a smaller town, so unless you have big pockets, or you are an experienced roofer ready to rip this entire roof off and put on a new one. I have lots of pics I took of this place, we really did love it and the town actually and the view from the upstairs was amazing over the town. I still keep hoping someone comes in and saves this place, it could be amazing. Worth looking at if your handy!
