If you want to see something fun about this neighborhood. Check out the aerial view. Pull back enough so you can see the neighborhood and read the street names!

That’s what I was thinking. The cabin is beautiful and the setting in amazing but to live on a street with the name ‘gnome trail’? How cool is that?

Did Walt Disney live in this neighborhood?

Lookout Mountain (the actual mountain in Chattanooga) is fable/fairy tailed themed (adding, Fairyland Cavern is but why, I do not know), as in the park that you can go through, a recommended visit if you are in Chattanooga (also visit the Chattanooga aquarium while you are at it.) I don’t know the reason behind the fairy tail themes.

This is a really nice cabin. I wondered if the whole area were blanketed with them–would be hard to imagine a ”theme development” that early. I google-streeted, and nothing of the sort. Lots of 50s and 60s ”ranches.” So I suspected it predated the Fairyland thing, a mountaintop retreat or maybe a hunting cabin, and it does appear it was there before the major development. Here is a interesting history:

There isn’t much I don’t love about this place. We have been looking in TN and this place is right over the border. I always wanted a Dutch door. Is GA in my future?

1930, but remuddled in the 70s-trying to back date it now... Eclectic Lake Cabin
    Smalltown, OK

I love when the previous owners have left the logs and chinking. Those items, in so many cabins, over the years get covered.
