    Build date on record is 1851 which I’m not sure about. The home next door looks more 1851, I wonder if the build date could be taken from it and this was built at a later time? Or perhaps just updated, the exterior looks like it could be older than the porch but then again it looks like it could have built in the early 1900’s.

    In any case I am posting for the interesting staircase. If you took out the design and kept the curve, the curving staircase was a popular thing in the 1850’s. Thoughts?

      Part of the staircase is probably original, but most of the ornamentation, column, etc. date to about 1905. I have seen several examples of this in the midwest.
