This house on Maple Street is known as the ''Purple House''. The owner has started improvements with a complete re-wiring and replacing some of the floor joist and sub-floor as well plumbing and bathroom. This house needs an owner that will continue the restoration that has been started in order to make to make it a home. This is a property for someone who loves older historic homes and will give it the TLC it needs. This house obviously has some issues and is sold ''as is''.

    I’ll start with the last one first: This Sweetwater, TN cottage-priced at $49,900- probably dates from around 1900 but has had some interior work done recently per listing: “The owner has started improvements with a complete re-wiring and replacing some of the floor joist and sub-floor as well plumbing and bathroom.” It looks like 9 over 9 pane windows are recent replacements too. Without some interior photos, difficult to determine the overall condition of the house.
    The Reedville, VA house is (almost for certain) a George Barber design. (Modern Dwellings) The house has the expected entry drama in fine millwork but there are few additional photos to provide a better overall look inside the house. It does have water front access. That always adds to the value of a home in most cases. I’ve always loved “Samplers” because like boxes of chocolates, you never know what you are going to find. Thanks for sharing.

    The Virginia house (Reedsville) is the holy grail for me. A big, classic Queen Anne Victorian, on the water. Superb!!!

    The first house holds some appeal for me, but my favorite of this bunch is the 1918 in DE. Curb appeal & charming house, esp. the main floor rooms.
