This house is a block from the Linden Street home you posted a week or two ago. It is catty-corner from the home that I mentioned that replaced two 80 year old houses that were torn down for its construction. The new home is out of place there, but this home posted is one of the nicest in that neighborhood, and that is out of many greats! It too is just a couple of blocks from one of Shreveport’s better high schools, and a block from the Van Cliburn home. A nice southern neighborhood with great old trees.

So many swoon-worthy rooms! I love everything about the kitchen (except for the island — don’t like them anywhere) — but to me, that bath with the bird-and-flowering-branch wallpaper is the show-stopper. It just conjures eternal Springtime, with the lovely blue and pink tile, and that pink flooring ties it all together. Plus I’m in love with that little porch nook. The wrought-iron railing framing the table and chairs looks like a 1940s movie set.

What a beautiful house! All of it!! And furnished so nicely, to boot! Okay, so I’d change out the DR wallpaper, but I think that’d be it. The bathrooms – so, soooo pretty, and worth a separate mention.

Nice place. It doesn’t look like anyone has done anything real crazy with it either.
