Wow–avocado green appliances! I haven’t seen those since the early 70s. Who knows, maybe they’re about to come back into fashion!

I really like the outside of this house. I like the asymmetry and overall form and shape, the 4 chimneys are nice and anchor it well. The insides need a bit of sharpening up. But I think with the right gentle touch, it could be a very nice and cozy family house.

I wonder if this was originally planned to be a more substantial house? The four rather grand chimneys seem incongruous on a barely story-and-a-half structure, and there appears to be the ghost of a fireplace in at least one of the upstairs bedrooms. I bet the only full-height second story window, now apparently lighting the upstairs bathroom, is a later remodeling along with the bathroom

…Take the last train to Clarksville and I’ll meet you at the station! 🙂

Love the outside of this house and the land. The inside ….needs some work but has some great features. Boy did they Love olive green! 😐

    Check out that tree!

I love that the updates seem to have come to a screeching stop in the 70’s. I love that this house is so dated and other than touching up some paint or a good scrub, I would change nothing – except maybe finish taking the tree down. 😉

Avocado appliances! I have a coffee percolator that goes with them. And the green/orange/brown/yellow Tupperware to match the era! 😀

Unlike a previous comment, I do not like the asymmetry. I like my asymmetry a little more, ah, balanced. If that makes sense. Two windows to the left, and one to the right, ok. But my brain is telling me that the door and upper window should be even between the windows. But, I was not the one who designed it! All personal preference.

I like the tree. If the remaining part is still alive, they will often start regrowing branches.

The blue wallpaper in the upstairs room reminds me of Grandma and I would not take it down! Overall, I like the place. The yard space is wonderful.

KarenZ I was reading through the comments to see if anyone else had noticed that lamp! Lol! This home just gives me the feeling of “family”. It is ” homey” in every way.

Hahaha! The lamp in the sink is a perfect touch. It is like it is supposed to be in there.
