I am in love with this charming house but I don’t see how you get 4500 square feet out of it, looking at the outside as well as the interior photos. The street view shows a great neighborhood and I would buy this in a heartbeat if only I were in the market for moving to PA!

Looking at the aerial view the house looks pretty sizeable, enough to justify the square footage.

I agree with TGrant. Looks that big to me too.

I’m truly not trying to be argumentative, I swear 🙂 but I just don’t see it. My current house is 5000 square feet and this is itty bitty compared to it from every angle. Well, I guess photos are pretty hard to judge by and I don’t mean to imply that the realtor is fudging numbers. Just doesn’t add up to me visually is all.

I wonder if they’re including the carriage house square footage in the total? The description reads in such a way as to say not, but it still could be part of the total.

I don’t know how they do their assessments in PA. but where I live, they also include the square footage of unfinished attics and basements. Maybe that’s it?

The owner of this property was an educator and writer, taking good care of the property. They did burn wood also, maybe in the fire place pictured. Welcome to The Endless Mountain Area of Northern, Pa! We are a rural area of mountains with lots of state game lands, a State Park with a pool, hiking trail, picnic areas, boat launch and fishing. We are home of the Pa Grand Canyon, the PA State Apple Cheese Festival, the PA Heritage festival with cool historical buildings, one of which is a Childrens Church building started by the deceased owner of this house! We have multiple Maple Festivals and Fall Festivals also. There are plenty of mountain roads to explore a few covered bridges, several ghost towns and all types of houses. Our Historical society has wonderful presentations, museums, publications and tours. The restaurants are small and have great value for the cost. We have an antique mall, mostly locally owned stores and major stores 45 minutes away.
