Oh my goodness! I love the eclectic furnishings which in no way detract from the Victorian beauty of this house.

The colors aren’t your typical Victorian color, but they work in the house. Gorgeous!

Does anyone know where to find the floor plans?

One cannot help but thinking of Fiddler on the Roof…

I’d build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen
Right in the middle of the town,
A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below.
There would be one long staircase just going up
And one even longer coming down,
And one more leading nowhere, just for show.

This place is an absolute knock out inside and out. I especially love the newel post. Since this house is so original throughout I would have to replace the golden sea urchin chandelier in the dining room.

Interesting to note all of the different colors and textures in this home. The attic “Turkish corner” appears to be a modern reinterpretation of the exotic corners and rooms popular when this house was built. The exterior is quite striking for a brick Queen Anne. I suspect the house may have been designed either by a local architect or from published plans. This is a very impressive home overall. Streetview shows a busy street outside.

I live in Macon and this is a gorgeous house. You are right though, it’s a very busy street. Just constant traffic. The noise would probably make it impossible to enjoy the outside spaces.

    House is beautiful.
the two staircases like that are odd. I can’t see up close but usually the second staircase is for domestic help. It would never be open for everyone to see. Had that staircase originally been a wall? Did someone open it up later? I wish I could see it up close to see.

I was totally about to tell you that the second one is enclosed (dark blue walls with Beatles poster), but then I scrolled back up and saw the pic where we see 2 main staircases! Thanks for pointing that out!

Looks like the large arch between the two stair halls was subsequently added. Likely there was originally a door between the two separating the front, and the family / servant’s stair.

Hubba Hubba Hubba!!!! I love every edge and line of the exterior. Too many fine and rich details galore to mention. And the dining room wainscoting, the built-ins, all doors and trim and the Moroccan light fixture over the stairs are all a knockout!

There is a real Bohemian soul living in this house and it doesn’t detract from it’s original beauty at all.

The loss of all of the highly decorative chimneys is a pity: especially the tower stack. Thank you agent for the great balcony shot! Those (POV images) are beyond rare.

Macon is an amazing fun town with lots to do and places to go. The house is surrounded by many beautiful homes. I love this place, even tho, it is located on SR19/41, which is a well traveled roadway. The brick craftsmanship is breathtaking! That funky bathroom upstairs makes my heart sing. Those lights are WOWZA! This is a beautiful neighborhood. Cherry Street has the Rookery, along with many eateries. Natalia’s is known for their fantastic food. Bass Pro is right there. Riverside Drive has every thing from a Mercedes Benz dealership to a Kia and all kinds of fast food – Five Guys is my fav! LOVE LOVE LOVE

This house is an absolute knockout. The owners have brilliantly preserved and enhanced the gorgeous period details, while adding their own modern sensibility, keeping the house fresh, relevant and livable

I absolutely LOVE this house and what they did to it. I feel you can have “today’s” styles and keep all the original details in an old house. I would want to buy this house as-is with everything in it. Only thing I would change is the purple paint and the titled counters in the kitchen.
