This place is amazing – someone really loved this project. The results are spectacular. The later addition is almost seamless from the exterior. I wonder when it was built? I love the surviving Mission-esque gable.

What can you say? Words fail me on this one. Stunning. I would like to meet the person who took this from a dilapidated railroad station to this glorious home.

Wow, this place is awesome. And that might be an understatement. It looks like a lot very nice, well thought out and high quality work went into converting this into a house. Only thing I see missing is a nice section of the old track with an old rail car or 2 for reference, that would be the icing on the cake. Maybe not for some people, but for me it would be.

That was exactly my thoughts when I opened to exterior photo. It would be great to have a long piece of the track but otherwise, the place is outstanding. Every bit of wall paper seems to match the space perfectly.

If I owned this amazingly unique house, I would never leave. Someone would have to carry me out on a stretcher.

Incredible! I am thrilled to see that someone bought this great old building and not only rescued it but made it a unique but very livable home. There are elements I wouldn’t have chosen myself, but that’s neither here nor there, because the whole thing comes together so perfectly, I don’t think I’d change a thing. Kudos to whoever is responsible for this transformation.

Wish we had pictures of the original interior. Love the original exterior shot. Would have loved to have gotten my hands on it before it was “redecorated”.

Yes, it’s cool—but dangerous, too! In the 2014 Hudson Valley article I posted, one of the owners said that people have died in it, and that “much of the tunnel has collapsed, so you have heaps of shale in there. Also, it’s flooded, sometimes it’s over your head.” Hopefully if people go exploring in there, the property owner isn’t liable for what happens to them. Maybe there are signs posted.

I’d have an easy time believing the interior decoration was done professionally. The gold and green bathroom is superlative, the kitchen is nigh on perfection, and the living room with its “tree of light” in ring of gold is rare marvel. Wow!

Shame its still up for grabs, I’d of figured it was well under new management by now

Color me smitten. It had me just by the exterior.

I thought I had seen this from last year! I remember there was a fountain or something quite ornate in the restroom. Beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites. I wish it was on the West coast instead!

The whole house is beautiful, but I especially love the interior. The rooms remind me of a time when it was an experience to ride a train. I like how the red bedroom mimics a train cabin.
