What a beautiful house! I love all of the wood details in there and the neighbors are AWESOME! I was a little concerned about the large commercial properties on the street view until I took a “walk”! There are two large wineries, a really nice park with waterfalls, an ice cream store and a pie place within walking distance! Add a fudge place and I could live quite happily there!

The house, village and area are all beautiful. The annual Grape Festival, winery tours and lakes make for a great way to spend the day. Thanks for sharing this listing. It brought back some nice memories.

I love this house! There is not much I’d change, and that would only be a matter of my taste as opposed to that of the current owners. I’d strip the paint off the woodwork in the one bedroom….then head for every estate sale and flea market and auction I can find, so I could fill this lovely home up with antiques! This is a really nice area of NY to live in, too!

Is that a second brick home on the property?

The house was long associated with the Widmer Winery, which closed local operations in 2008 after 120 years. Recently operated as a B&B by the successor Hazlitt 1852 Winery.

The Fingers Lakes region of central New York is peaceful and lovely. The larger cities have their issues but the smaller towns and countryside haven’t changed all that much in 100+ years.
