This is a sweet little house. Not sure that the stained glass in the living room is original, but it appears to screen the house next door.

I don’t think the windows are original. I’m wondering if the the tile picture over the tub is original. Love the bathroom!

Oh my…. I’m ready to move in. I love it all but the kitchen is just a stunner. And the pink bathroom is perfection. Glorious house.

Even if the stained glass in the living room isn’t original, I love it quite a lot. Both the kitchen and the lilac bathrooms are a delight as well! The floor plan looks to be thoughtfully designed – I think it’s a nice touch how the dining room looks out onto the screened porch. I think the only thing this listing is missing is a close-up of the wall-mounted lights in the living room. =)

I’m scrolling through the images, scrolling, scrolling, while waiting for that rush of excitement in seeing one of those fabulous, colorful 1930s bathrooms which abound in CA.

    And then…

    …SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same here….Was scrolling through, thinking it’s a rather cute house, that I liked the kitchen & its dining nook, and then… wham!, that huge burst of color when I hit the beautiful orchid pink bathroom! Nice big linen closet in the hallway, too.

Me too Ross. I was thinking, this is a lovely typical So.Cal Mission style bungalow, very nice, very nice….then that BATHROOM! Holy pink/orchid tile batman. I can’t decide what I like most, the colors, the over the top design, the built ins? It has taken the wind outta my sails over my own recent (very, very simple by comparison) bathroom tile job. Dang. They really knew how to create a stunning bath. Sheesh.

I go nuts over baths like this and I have to remind myself that there is no way I could re-create this in my house, partly because of money and partly because of space and partly because it would be way too excessive for my little Richmond house! Also, sadly, I doubt I could find tile workers in Richmond who could do that kind of work, even if I had the money to pay them and buy the materials. So…we do what we can!

Very nice. THE BATHROOM! In this area I’m somewhat surprised at the price. It’s a bit of a bargain. I expect this one to get snatched up rather quickly.

Cute little Spanish Revival. But in Riverside. I guess the neighborhood might be okay if it’s near the downtown and not mixed with a lot of crumby apartments

What an eye-popping-gorgeous pink bath! I do love this style of house. It captures all the charm of the 1930s.

I was assuming that the “stained glass” was faux or just a window covering. But the listing does say “stained glass” unless they are referring to the ducks in the breakfast nook cabinet. Window Features: Custom Covering, Drapes/Curtains, Shutters, Stained Glass…yes, they would not have been original. The downtown historic area is more desirable but this is a gem. A great buy for CA.

My favorite kind of house with my favorite kind of bathroom, and in one of my favorite shades of bathroom tile. I hope it doesn’t get trashed!

I don’t know anything about Riverside pricing, but the price seems low to me, too.

I do wonder what’s been done around that front window. Looks very incongruous.

I know the listing says there’s stained glass in the living room. But that doesn’t look like stained glass to me! It doesn’t look translucent or reflective. And the edges are not aligned. From the photo, it looks more like some sort of windowshades. But of course, it has to be stained glass, since they say it is….

Lovely Spanish home. So very inviting….the only thing I would change is the split pea color In The kitchen. To me it didn’t do justice to this charming home.

Like everyone else i think the bathroom is cool. It really is all about location because for almost the exact same money you can have the one in Longview TX which is just utterly a palace set in the middle of 2.5 acres of one of the nicest landscaped yards that i have ever seen. Obviously CA has its attraction to so many.

Which house is in Longview, Texas? Do you have a link for it? And does it have a great original bathroom ?

it is a house on this website, should be able to look it up under spanish style houses in TX. The 2 bathrooms shown are in my opinion better than this one by far.And everything else about the house as well. But we are talking 2 completely different levels of expense. The one in TX was built by someone who struck oil. Money was flowing out of the ground and it shows. But all that said this house is a cool house and will be a treasure to someone. I would not move there for it. I might for the one in Longview. It is that special.

Ahh, okay, I found it. (I had looked under Texas houses on here but there were so many of them, and I didn’t have time to scroll through them all). Yes, that’s a spectacular house! I love many things about it. But I like the bathroom in this one better than the ones in the Longview house. It’s a matter of personal preference. I love the arches and the orchid handmade tile in this one. The colors in the Longview house aren’t my favorites. Also, it looks like one of the bathrooms in the Longview house has had a shower remodel. But overall you’re right, that’s a wonderful house with lots of great details.
