This is probably 10 minutes from where I live now. I might need to go check her out ❤️

God bless the owners of this place who never changed a thing, including the oven. The only concession to modernity is the 1980s refrigerator, which was probably only purchased because the original could no longer be repaired. I really admire this generation that practiced such thrift. This house is charming, BTW. I really like the external paint scheme.

A nice Dutch Colonial that could look just like it did in 1927. I like that the rear elevation is as interesting as the front. A lot of cosmetic refinishing needed, and vintage pattern linoleum and formica is available for the kitchen.

Scotia is a pleasant suburb of Albany with good older housing stock, named for the homeland of its colonial era Scottish settlers.

I hope the bathrooms and kitchen survive the inevitable “updating”.

Not a fan of most wallpapers usually, but I love the paper in the entry! Refinish the floors throughout and that will be half the battle. And that kitchen!! I hate to think someone will modernize it. I would love to have those cabinets and sink, and of course the stove!

I love this house!! The interior is very bright, and the rooms are spacious. The yard is nice and neat looking. Shouldn’t take too much work to fix her up. Asking price leaves lots of room for remodeling!!!!

If the next owner doesn’t want the beautiful kitchen, they can carefully remove it and send it to me. I promise to love it!

Scotia is a suburb of Schenectady. The two are separated by the Mohawk River. I live in Glenville which shares a zip code with Scotia.

Wow! This is a great home. I thought the front of the house was fantastic, then I saw the back of the house! Wow!
Please promise to only sell to a preservationist!

I love the kitchen as well. Amazing to see it probably hasn’t changes since it was built!
