First thing to go is that Astroturf!!

Next comes a bucket of paint stripper. Then buckets of paint.

I have no idea how to decorate/furnish a home this old, but sloppy paint doesn’t belong in any house. Hopefully someone restores this place and makes it super comfy.
I love the hardware and built-ins of these houses.

I don’t feel the ‘early’ historical charm in this house. It seems like everything was taken away from this house. For 1797 there is not one aspect of age from that period, perhaps one room with the wide pine floors. It makes me sad to see no period features.

Thta’s because most of it received a Greek Revival update. Even the main part of the home might be from the period while a part of the back may be from the 1797 era.

I like it! Look at that big fat face of a front ☺️. I think the front entryway is cute except the color an astoturf. Would have to pour money into paint for interior to cover the 6 year old’s murals but other than that! I’m weird. 😂

love all the quirky touches especially landscape painted walls, purple and green entrance, that huge corner window, over extravagant fireplace and my favorite – the coffee table that has a design in parallel with the floor. true – astroturf needs some repair and entire kitchen will be returned to Home Depot but I like it.
