Map: Street

A large Victorian House on Main Street that needs TLC and some renovations. There is a large lot with 40+ fruit and nut trees (apple, apricot, peach, pecan, hazel nut, etc) as well as a 25x25 barn with loft. The location is great for small town living and the price is right to renovate and make it your own.

I love the idea of fruit and nut trees.

I’m digging the pink. I’d probably just paint the trim a darker complementary shade and leave the pink as is.

The fruit and nut trees are an added bonus. The house is of a fairly standard type of the Queen Anne style and looks to be a bit later than 1890. (the oval beveled glass mirrors on the mantel were more closely associated with the Colonial style which was more popular in the late 1890’s to early 1900’s) Seems like there is more interior fretwork above the staircase but barely seen in the photos. There also appear to be at least two transom stained glass windows. Overall, with the outbuilding, fruit and nut trees, and large, almost one acre lot, this property has potential.

Is the siding, (pink) slanting to lower on the right? That looks odd.

It’s a camera aberration. It makes the roof look wonky also.

The streetview is one of the most recent that I have seen – Oct. 2018

No, it must be a pixel thing with the photos?
I know this house well- and Cadiz is a great little town.
Very close to Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.

This is my hometown! I’ve been in this house many times, it belongs to friends. Beautiful house on a stretch on Main Street with many painted ladies on each side! Great historical neighborhood with lots to do and see within walking distance – including dining, antique shops, public school system, hospital and doctor offices. Our little stretch of Main Street is just like stepping back to when times were less rushed and more appreciated!
