That’s cool. Samplers will be a happy surprise.
That Akron home is my favorite. And the gazebo is a bonus.

I love the DR/staircase portion of the Akron house, plus it has an extra large breakfast nook.

Excellent maintenance and beautiful presentation of the Akron house. Interesting eyebrow windows. But you have to climb three stairs to answer the phone? My knees hurt already.

The home in Venus, TX amazed me for the quantity of contents but my favorite thing is the tres chic parlor ceiling fan with crystal chandelier attached. It’s inspired!

The unpretentious adobe house has stolen my heart; I hope the new owner won’t glitz it up with a million can lights and marble countertops. The house in Akron started out as a mid-nineteenth century Greek Revival; it appears to have been heavily remodeled in the 1930’s or 40’s (with subsequent updates afterwards) in an attempt to create a “Colonial” atmosphere. It’s well-maintained, but it is not historically correct and there is very little left that the original builder would recognize.

I love the scenery around that adobe! I wouldn’t mind having that for a vacation home. One thing though…it looks pretty dry. I wonder if the current owners have gotten any estimates on how much sinking a well on the property would cost?

I love the details in the Akron house. The built in curtain rods are my favorite. I can’t tell if the kitchen and bathroom have been redone, and that’s cool with me. They’re gorgeous either way. Love love love this property.

The NM home: Wonder what ran through the minds of early settlers when they said, “Let’s build a very labor intensive home with no water, in the middle of vast amounts of rock. Or did they just get tired of walking West and planted themselves on this beautiful rugged spot? Certainly a place for the self sufficient with strong backs who really don’t want neighbors.

Love the NM house. Everything about it is beautiful. Wish I could live in the desert without shriveling up into a crispy thing and blowing away. The TX house isn’t too far from civilization, if one considers DFW to be that.
