From the National Register form, linked up top, stated this was the Statesville Male Academy building.

I’m from Statesville, and yes, this was built as a school, but converted many years ago. This is a very walkable location, close to our beautiful downtown, very nice restaurants, bars and shopping. Statesville has beautiful historic districts, and is very accessible via I 40 and I 77. Take a look!!

I love that light fixture that has a close -up, and I like the kitchen a lot too; nice and old-fashioned looking.

I wonder if that large brick fireplace mantel is original?
