    Amazing green/black bathroom!

I knew you would say that Bethany Otto…;-)
I couldn’t agree more. Love this one. Would probably change very little except perhaps the plum carpeting. Wonder what’s under it all?

Is that a Hoosier cabinet in the kitchen? And yes, that green and black bathroom is awesome.

Is it just me or does that backyard need an in ground swimming pool? Love the green/black bath as well.

    • Gail M. says: 75 comments

I looked at that expanse of concrete and thought there used to be a pool there.

Besides that great green bathroom, I like the telephone niche – with room for an armchair no less!, the two upstairs back porches, and the ceiling light fixtures in the upstairs hallway. But… is it my eyes, or is the stair rail upholstered (to match the carpeting)?? If it is, that’s a new one on me!

I drool over all these photos and then I read the comments. Never fails how much I miss. I missed the phone niche. Do you mean beside the rocking chair? Missed the carpeted railings too! LOL

Edit: didn’t realize this post was from 2017

It looks like carpet on the railing to me at closer look—I’ve seen upholstery on railings in houses of this vintage but not carpet!

    That green bath is sublime!

Bah! Go ahead an pile on purple carpet haters! I am in LOVE! If you buy this house and, (likely), want to rip it all out – PLEASE click “reply” directly above to LMK: I will happily come down from Metro Indy and remove as much of it as I possibly can FREE OF CHARGE. I mean – oooohhhh yeah; it’s like the floors of nearly the whole house are covered in deep purple, velveteen heaven. Outstanding. Never seen anything like it. Wow. The stair rail is covered in it! So Frickin rad.

    Really great house too…

Dang! Now you got that 70’s “Smoke on the Water” nonsense running through my brain! 🙂

Although the jewel tone carpet may make it a bit harder to sell, I have to admire someone who loves a color and goes with it in a big way. Beautiful home and appears to be well maintained and loved. Small town living but just South of Indy.

I agree-the Nile green bathroom is spectacular!

Call me old fashioned, but I love that kitchen just the way it is. Has a good amount of work space and cupboards (especially with that little pantry) and the work flow looks great. Also large enough to eat in and have the “family room” atmosphere to it.

I agree, love the kitchen! Would like to switch the refrigerator with the radiator but then it would cover up the Milk Man Box (?)

I guess I wasn’t the only one who liked the green bathroom! As much as I would love to see what is under the purple carpet, I’m afraid my wife would say no to taking it out….her favorite color!

  12. BethsterBethster says: 635 comments

Another green bathroom fan here, and the other bathrooms look nice, too, except for the wallpaper in the first one. Also a big fan of the kitchen, except for the floor. And even though purple is my favorite color, I’m with the others here who are eager to tear that aubergine plushness out! I hope the floors underneath it are in good shape.

Aubergine plushness. I love it – the phrase, not the carpet! (I’ll admit to sometimes missing soft w/w carpet in the BR and hall though.)

      • BethsterBethster says: 635 comments

I don’t mind a bit of carpeting occasionally, like if I’m visiting relatives. As long as I’m not the one who has to keep it clean!

Wow! It looks like NOTHING has been done to this house since the day it was built! Even the kitchen looks original.

A very special house. I love the carpet color & the kitchen.
