    What a great house! Any idea why the first fireplace isn’t centered?

      There’s a closet next to the chimney, so likely they offset it to use this space.
      I lived in this part of NH for 30 years there are many nice old houses like this one. Many with Moses Eaton stencils or those of one of his contemporaries.

    Great home. Stenciling is outstanding. What a pleasing home. Good housekeeping and decorating. But like the other better.

    I believe the stenciling would be much better featured if that dark green was much lighter and neutralized. Any softer, less saturated color in the stenciled palette would complement the walls
