So much to work with here! The front hall is great and I love the light fixture. This house fulfills my dreams of a Victorian mid-west fixer upper “sigh”

Yes, sooo much potential. Don’t know anything about the area but this is a lot of good looking house for the price.

It appears that this home functioned as a duplex. From the pictures, there are two kitchens and one the kitchen appears to be on the second floor judging from the view from the windows.

That is the most curvaceous parlor I have ever seen.

    I feel quite intoxicated!

What an unbelievable bargain!Harvard is a pretty small town up by the Wisconsin border, but if you like small town living…what a deal!

Harvard is a lovely small town not far from the WI border. I live in the next town south of there. It has a newer Walmart and a small local grocery. Over a decade ago Motorola abandoned a huge campus they built there, that devistated the town. Jobs are scarce. It is famous for Harvard Milk days celebration. The downtown is revitizing with cute shops and a unique arts showcase for local artisans. The town has many beautiful old homes. Fontana WI on the shores of Lake Geneva is only 10 minutes away with many vacation resorts. There is a metra train to Chicago. Harvard is the last stop on the route. It’s about a 2 hour ride to the city. A long commute but I know of many that make it daily.

Love the curves and the floors. Sadly the porch looks as if it has been ‘updated.’ The original spindles gone and the tall frieze on top looks as if it is covering up something.
