Lots of Southern charm in this 1920s farmhouse near downtown Vass and close to US 1. This home is in need of a new owner to restore it to its original beauty. Cosmetic improvements needed throughout. Situated on a large private lot, this home is convenient for traffic north to Sanford, east to Fort Bragg and south to Southern Pines. The home features a charming wrap around porch, original wood flooring, original weighted windows, 2 fireplaces, wood stove, large bedrooms and 2 car detached garage/barn with storage upstairs. New central heat and air including ductwork installed in 2015. Home was completely insulated as well, with fiberglass insulation in the attic and under house and blown in insulation in the walls.

So much great, original, simple charm in this house. Just love it. God forbid anyone should ever get in there and choke the place out with drywall; or fix the little bits of wonky settling here and there. This place is perfect just the way it is.

What IS that GIANT red tile lookin deal in front of the fireplace? Heheheh. 🙂

i love it the way it is, except i would paint the walls different, and i’d want a different bathroom setup…don’t care for that shower!! but i love the walls, the floors…the worness(is that a word!)…and a good size lot!!

OMG I love this!!!! White with red trim farm house eeee! Love the old worn floors, and the little barn is cute as a button.

Someone boxed in the stairs. Probably to save heat downstairs. The people that live in this house have made it very cozy. I’m spoiled though, I would need central air and heat.

I, too, like the ‘wonky bits’. Kinda like if the Waltons became hippies!

Do you think the clapboard(?) walls and beadboard(?) ceilings are original? May be a southern thing but I have never seen that before, at least not in a house of that stature.

A new favorite! Very little to do but move in and enjoy!
