Fantastic house that has some updates but retains the original charm. All rooms are large and includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs. The upstairs is almost 1,350 sf and has ample storage and a full bath. This space could be divided into multiple rooms. The efficiency apartment has a open concept and a full bath. The fenced back yard is large and shaded with a storage building.

Yes, that fireplace is incredibly lovely–wish the photo was closer! This place has so much going for it. What a great studio space that upstairs could be 🙂

I have to say this. Is it so hard to close the toilet seats for the photos?

Why all the Exit signs? Was this space used commercially?

What is that hole in the backyard by the sidewalk that curves around the tree? An uncovered well?
What type of business was in this house that warranted the EXIT signs and the Fire Alarms through?
This house is perfect for me!

Swooning over the view of the front, with its plethora of arches. 🙂 Not to mention all the wood inside and that lovely fireplace. I would leave the kitchen cabinets but replace the countertops and floor. It’s disappointing that the bathrooms are all remodeled (or new additions), but I’d enjoy redoing them all. (Yes, in this scenario I have enough money to do that!)

Another house in my old stomping grounds. I have been to My Pleasant many, many times. It is located in the heart of the piney woods, a beautiful region of TX. The down side is that it isn’t near any big population areas. Texarkana is 1 hour to the east and Longview, TX is 1 hour to the south. Dallas is about 2 hours west.
