Thanks John for finding this one. I’m working on posting a home in every single state this week. Hawaii is a hard one to find something that either isn’t boring as heck or hasn’t been too updated.

My daughter and son in law live In Honolulu and I agree. Everything is usually white and sterile looking . Lol good find 🙂 it’s amazingly beautiful there. Honestly I would live in a hut if I could live there. And frankly it’s all I could afford. But it would be worth it 🙂

I agree! If I could live in Hawaii, I would do it in a tent! It really is the most beautiful place on Earth!

It’s always interesting to see how different areas of the country interpret architectural styles for climate and materials.

My grandmother’s sister’s daughter lived in this area-for decades . I went there to visit when I graduated high school in 1981. You can see Diamond Head from their picture window and 3 blocks from Waikiki.
What struck me most about the house, it had no interior wall board. Just the 2×4 s and outer clapboard. It was paradise.

reminds me of “From Here to Eternity”. If things had worked out for Montgomery Clift and Donna Reed- they’d have lived in a sweet house like this!

I won’t be retiring to Hawaii! This million dollar home would sell for around $100,000. here in Kansas, I don’t care HOW great the view happens to be! Yikes!
