    Nicely done. Wish all woodwork wasn’t painted, but that is just my taste. Exterior shots of Summer and Winter are great. Very pretty.

      Houses of this vintage would have had painted woodwork, in some cases with decorative effects–if the owner could afford it–imitating the appearance of rare woods or other “noble” materials like marble. Stained “natural” woodwork would NOT be right for a house of this vintage if you’re going for an appropriate period look.
