Been on the site since 2010, went off market for a year now back on. I’m glad this home now has an agent that took photos!

Not to complain much but the previous agent never bothered to update listing photos in the 10-13 years (or longer?!) of it being on the market. I contacted the previous agent to see the home when we were house shopping and it took him a month to get back to me, by then we were under contract for our current home.

To the new agent, Mr. Grimsley, THANK YOU for taking the time to give us photos and write a proper description.

I kept the photos that I took in 2013 of the exterior.

Oh Jeez, this poor old place! Well shoot, it doesn’t look bad inside AT ALL. I think that other agent wrote this house off from day 1. Sure glad to see it now has a capable champion who even took a right good snap or two of it. Hope someone can get a roof on it soon. Looks like just a wee bit of water intrusion, but that can get bad FAST if left alone. Sorry you missed out Kelly; but hope you’re happy where you landed 🙂

I kind of like this house a lot … lots of TLC needed but it’s at least doable and will make such a comfortable happy place to be, thumbs up on this one Kelly.

Nice large fixable house. Surprised more people have not commented on this one. Could be a Bed & Breakfast if town has activates to warrant it.

Stopped by and the owners happened to be there cleaning up. The house plan is choppy and the upstairs porch is in much worse shape than you can see in the picture. Sue’s Great grandfather built this house. She remembers visiting there as a child when her grandparents lived there. She said the house is been vacant for about 30 years. Unfortunately someone broke in and stole some of the original ornate door knobs and a clawfoot tub. Wonder how they got that clawfoot tub out without getting caught!

Cleveland is a small town in between the popular tourist towns of Helen and Dahlonega. This is is right off the town square in Cleveland. They are in the process of reviving their town square and making it more of a tourist destination so the proximity to the square could be a nice feature in the future. The square has really improved over the last couple of years adding retail and restaurants with more to come.

It is amazing ! I love it. The charm it exudes is coming right out if the photos! I want to buy it! I need to round up the money. I just don’t understand why it was vacant for 30 years??? It would be a fabulous bed & breakfast🏨

How far are you from it? If you have loved this house for that long, make the call. Throw common sense and caution to the wind, and don’t look back. I did that 17 years ago, and I am not a bit sorry. Another option is to buy it, restore it yourself on a budget, and then sell it to someone who will love it. If you find out 6 months from now that it has been torn down and a triplex built on the lot, you will feel like it is your fault, LOL…

        Only 40 minutes away. 🙂

As much as I LOVE this home, it’s too much work (money wise) for us. That and we really love our current home and plan on staying here until we die.

I hear ya. I wanted to buy a big old Queen Anne a few doors down from us a couple years ago to restore and sell, but my wife put her foot down. She knew that I would not do it cheap, and would be lucky to break even. Unfortunately, it is a vacant lot now.

      Hi Kelly,
Can you say what they were asking when you first saw it? I can’t remember.

Kelly, you were my very first thought when I saw his beauty!
It’s a lovely structure, and hopefully somoeone will put the time and dollars into bringing it back. The porches are stunning.

Or at Christmas, with a candle in every window, and pine garlands with lights draped over all the porch railings…

Long time lurker, first time commenter… I adore this house! If we were in the position to move away from the family, I’d be calling this realtor to snap this on up and bring it back to life!

If this is close to the town square, which is being revitalized, the house would be a great place to have a B&B. I hope that someone buys it up and fixes it. This house deserves it!
