A crackling fire and flickering shadows that Charles Dickens would have loved are found in this quintessential New England Colonial circa 1778. Offering modern conveniences with yesteryear charm, the floor plan is interchangeable to suit the needs of the occupants. Three fireplaces, beautiful wainscoting, built-in cupboards and extended living quarters are only a few of this home's many amenities. Three season sunroom a plus! Handsomely set on a 6.56 acre pastoral lot which abuts conservation land - it's perfect for the gardener, horseman or bird lover. Large brick patio with water garden and perennial plantings are the perfect summertime respite. In addition, there's a patio set further into the acreage with canopy. Within minutes of area colleges and offering a location that's easily accessible to major routes - this one scores an A plus.

I had about given up on 18th century homes as too dark and dreary. This house is beautiful. Warm, welcoming, and charming.

I always wonder if windows were added after an older home like this gained a furnace. I don’t think I’d want a lot of windows if I was heating only with fireplaces. The heat would be going out the windows. I love the little mural in the one unused fireplace. I’ve never seen a fireplace closed up like that. So much better to look at than a piece of wood painted to match the room.

And, another beauty! I just love this style and the stenciling and the painted walls, I wonder how old some of the stenciling is and whether there is more under that wall paper….

The stenciling is nice and some of the colors are too. Exterior of house is great. Some nice antique pieces.

I have such an affinity for these colonial homes, warms my memories! I do have to say, the bed warmer by the fireplace reminded me of the time Samantha Stevens went to visit Salem and the bedwarmer was in love with her and followed her home! Bewitched!

What a lovely home! I like the wood wainscoting and the fire places.
