Huntington is lately experiencing a real Renaissance. They are spending a fortune on the streets and the adorable downtown. There are gobs of great old houses and buildings of all sorts all over town to see and enjoy.

This is a GREAT value for a very nice Victorian which seemingly needs VERY little major work. It certainly is habitable. Heheheh. Judging by the gables, there is some great detail hiding under the current siding. I think it would be fun to recreate the original, decorative, Victorian porch; and it certainly wouldn’t be a HUGE project.

LOVE the bath wall paper! Rad! 😉

If you haven’t seen this one it will B L O W your mind:

This is a beautiful home for sure. Thank you for the reminders of the other two as well. I would love to see what has been done to the Romanesque since then.

Funny I looked at that house ( 882 Queen Anne) and thought..where is that? Turns out it was just two blocks down from where I grew up ( well until I was 12). We lived at 1224 N Jefferson st. That house I vaguely remember. We would walk to school to St Mary’s . You can see the church in the street view on google maps. Our old House looks like the ghetto. Sad…?
