Ever notice how realtors here in NorCal slip a zero on the end of the price tag? Yeah, it’s how it is out here. Smiles…

Howdy folks! We have owned this peaceful little slice of heaven for 15 years, and figured it’s time to move on. Kids are all out the door, and we want to move to Georgia. In fact, our favorite thing to do each morning is check out OHD for new listings in NE Georgia. Go Dawgs!
Anyway, this is an amazing little treasure. The two back cottages rent for 1300 and 1800 = 3100/mo. If you add the garage at 200, that’s 3300 per month! If gold is at 1320/oz, that’s like having a golden goose in your back yard that lays two and a half ounces of gold every month.
This is an incredibly tranquil little hide-away on a dirt road, with just a few quiet neighbors, yet just 35 minutes to San Francisco, where prices are three times higher. Crazy, right? If you have friends or family in the SF tech industry that can’t seem to buy a home because of the insane competition, share this little secret with them. There is no traffic. There is no crime. Just wild turkeys, and quail wandering around. Stroll down the street a block and a half to pick up your mail at the Post Office (where my wife is the Post Master), or stop in for a pint, or dinner, at the Two Bird Cafe (live music Fri & Sat). That’s San Geronimo; 500 folks, the PO and the Two Bird. That’s it. Simple.
Thanks for stopping by, and God Bless Old House Dreams!

You have me smitten. I was a Postmaster too-now retired ( lucky us!) And LOVE your home. I am in SoCa so understand the market, it is the property taxes that cause a pause. There are only 9 counties that we can transfer our property taxes, and we also have Mills Act. Do you know if this wonderful home could qualify for the Mills Act? I am absolutely in love with your lil farm. Thank you for sharing and happy trails to your new adventure in GA. You will be able to own the town there!

Even though you plan to move, my landscape architect sister who is currently in San Rafael would love to talk to you about renting one of your cottages. Please let me know if that is a possibility.

I love everything about this house! Love the simple white interior with the pops of color. Looks like it was lifted from the Swedish countryside. Just beautiful.

I fell in love with this house at first sight. Usually there is at least one thing that I would change about the properties listed here, but this is perfect on it’s own, with no changes. I love how bright it is and that stove in the kitchen is to die for! If only I had the money to move to California.

What a little piece of heaven, my husband would love all the outdoor treasures He can’t understand new builds where the house leaves very little outdoor space. To the owners you must be so proud.

Why aren’t more places as charming as this one? A winner…..IF I could move to CA. The big tree next to the house, the lovely little brick path……and is that a firepit? Much the nicest firepit I’ve seen. Very sweet and super- appealing overall. Just wish it were in New England where I hope to move someday.
