If these walls could talk what kind of stories would they tell? How does the tinkle of children laughing in front of the fireplace waiting for Santa sound? Or maybe the excitement of that first date waiting at the bottom of the sweeping stairs? Or even better, relaxing around an outdoor fireplace listening to the night sounds? All those are possible. This is an awesome opportunity to own a piece of history and do the renovations to suit your preferences. Call me - 570-850-7329.

This home has so much potential for greatness. Not my personal favorite style, but still I took a look. Why? Because it still had just one bathroom, which tell me it hadn’t been remuddled beyond belief. When I see an old house like this (or any) that has as many bathrooms as bedrooms (or more) I usually pass it by.
The original details left here will make a lovely home when someone takes on a restoration. The exterior has the look that screams history. Beautiful.

Nice house! Lewisburg is a beautiful, vibrant college town (Bucknell University), along the Susquehanna River. Some great examples of turn of the twentieth century ecclesiastical architecture.

My kind of house: It looks like previous owners did nothing to “modernize” it. Lots of potential to bring it back! And who wouldn’t love living on “Hardscabble Lane”?

One of the things I puzzle over are the stairs to the attic (4th to last photo) – are they real? Do you have to bend over double to crawl up them? I have never seen anything like that before and they are so interesting! Clearly original. Perhaps the roof with the back wing provides a little relief to raise the height of the ceiling in the stairway, but it still doesn’t look like much.

    Could be beautifully restored.
