This area has a ton of 1920’s Revival houses and this looks like one of the best! It’s obvious that the house has been loved and the original features kept mostly intact. The owner has done a wonderful job of complementing the architecture with furniture and things that work with it, rather than going contemporary.
The casita would be good enough for me – the tile floor and peach bath are beautiful!

I agree with Jim-that lovely casita would perfect to live in! I love the colorful tile work in Spanish style homes. This is really beautiful.

Oh, yes! This is why I like Spanish Revival–tile that isn’t white subway (at least, there’s not much). And the little peach bathroom is divine.

Of its entire block, the most warmly appealing exterior with an equal luxuriously landscaped lot. Congrats on the aesthetics and green thumb design!

Wow I was surprised to see Rockledge Fl. on here!! About 3-4 miles from my home !!
When home interiors are on the National register you have to get permission so to do anything even for painting your walls.

I’m not sure what you mean, usually it’s the whole house that’s on the National Register not just parts of the house.

We lived nearby for 4.5 years back in the late 1980s. In fact our daughter was born in a hospital on Cocoa Beach. There are some very lovely vintage/historic homes in the area and my favs always were the Spanish Rev styles. As old house people we unfortunately decided not to buy an old home there (bad mistake) and it took months to sell the 4 year old home we had, when it was time to move back to the west coast. lol.
I would pick this one up in a heart beat. Lovely, lovely.

Being on the National Register does not restrict anything on the interior or exterior, certainly not paint colors. Being on the register does not even protect the house from being torn down, unfortunately. Only local county or city ordinances can protect or restrict such things and Rockledge does not have such an ordinance.

what a beautiful state of preservation this house is in. So many FL homes are built of poor materials but this one certainly is not. Being the personal home of an architect always adds many nice touches. The tropical landscape just adds so much to the spanish look. And a guesthouse for the visiting friends. All in all I would think it is a good deal for someone who wants something special that is turnkey.

I have been in this house, it is even more beautiful in person than can be depicted in pictures, the restoration work is magnificant, worth every penny and a good investment. If it was 100 miles south it would be triple the cost
