Not one, but two semi-circular bays! The entry hall appears vast. I love it.

A pretty house, inside & out, with the entrance hall & bay windows being my favorites. Lovely street view, too.

Lovely! My husband would be happy living in the garage if this were ours. The butler’s pantries are just awesome and I’m sure I would fill them with all kinds of Goodies. The wood floors are just beautiful. Think I spied an inground pool and that wasn’t even mentioned in the description.
    Need to say, “Lovely” again.

Nice big rooms – though I would add some color downstairs. The street view looks more like New England than SC.

I have seen this house for sale for the past 3 or 4 years. I may have to go and check this out. This is what Ive been looking for, wish it was NC instead of SC due to Tornadoes and Heat but being near Greenville its a good location.Wish it had a Master on Main but looks like a great place for my retirement years.

Tornadoes? I don’t think there’s any difference in tornado risk. Also, this house is in the upstate where summer temperatures tend to be somewhat cooler and the humidity slightly less than other areas of the state. The weather is virtually the same as Charlotte or Raleigh.

Thanks for that info. Ive been living outside Asheville NC for the past 18 years and I always see that near Spartanburg SC and Pickens County a lot of severe weather and last week a couple of Tornados did go thru that area.I guess Im spoiled being in the Mnts that we never get much of the bad weather that I see in the Upstate and East of Asheville.Even Hickory and Morganton NC are getting more Tornado activity.I went thru Hurricane Andrew in 1992 when I lived in Miami ,thats why weather is so important to me when Im shopping for my new home.I may end up in nearby Waynesville NC,just wish they had some home’s like this one for sale.

Kenneth, we moved back to Asheville 2 years ago after a 45 year hiatus in Houston, Tx. Talk about weather, hurricanes and tornados! We are restoring a 1901 Greek revival, doing the work ourselves- what fun! There are so many great houses in central SC and eastern NC, but like you, I love my mountains! Just do not love the real estate prices, lol. Wish those houses were here. Of course, the price would double! We live in a neighborhood with 1 lane roads and several 100+ year old houses. It’s like our own little timeless village.

Wish we could start a local chapter of old house lovers to share ideas and appreciation.

As I type, it is snowing!

That’s a lotta house! Some things I really liked, others, maybe not as much, but great house!

I’m not a fan of two different cabinets in a kitchen, but surprised that I do like the “funk” of color and the wood top here. Really beautiful home. The entrance and staircase is breath taking for a lot of one stunning house!

This is my dream house *sigh
