Green Bay, WI is one of my favorite places, and the great vintage kitchen and baths make this house a total winner for me! I just love it!

Architect’s house! Designed by Levi A. Geniesse (1900-1988) for his wife Chloe Wells and their 5 children. Geniesse was the grandson of Belgian immigrants who came to Wisconsin in 1856. He designed a few notable Green Bay houses, buildings and at least one church. One of his daughters lived in the house from the age of 3 and is on the books as the current owner.

Thanks for the info. I really like this a lot. There’s a sturdiness that’s offset by delicate details. Love the green tile in the bathroom.

Great house. My house has the same “dormer” window treatment. It doesn’t seem like a true dormer, but I don’t know what else to call it. Is there a name for this type of “dormer”?

      I believe it’s called a “wall dormer”.

Correct as usual Kelly. They’re wall dormers and a typical design element of French Provincial Revival and other French influenced house styles where the top story windows break through the eaves. My own French-inspired house has many of the same elements of the posted home including the quoins, dentil detail, copper porch roof, and arch top wall dormers.

That green bathroom is tops! Unusual window shape/treatment in that bath. Totally perfect.
