    Thanks Cora for sharing!

The build date given was 1900. I’m having a hard time deciding what decade this was actually built.

It appears to be a vernacular style which muddles the actual year of completion.

      it is VERY puzzling…

From the build dates provided by the county on so many of these old houses, I am thinking that, A: 1900 is a default year for anything over 80 years old; or B: 1900 was the busiest year ever for carpenters! Our county shows our house as being built in 1900, but we have a picture from 1893…

I had the same issue. The fireplaces and trimwork told me turn-of-the-last-century but the exterior (and something about the rooms) looks older. It’s hard to tell if it’s older and was re-done, or a later build. For someone who likes old farmhouses, like me, it still whispers a charming song.

Too bad, there are not more pics. Outbuildings etc. Beadboard ceiling in paneled room should be early 20th c. Colonial Revival period.

I would hae liked to see more pictures of grounds and inside as well, bathroom and kitchen etc, but I think this is a lovely house in move in condition by what I see. Just enough privacy and land to do live off the land (my husband’s dream) … very nice.
