If my home were sold (which is a goal), I’d buy this house in a heartbeat. I saw the kitchen and nearly wept. This house is perfect. I’m kind of sorry that its current owners are selling. They’ve been incredible stewards of this wonderful property. You can tell all of the love that they’ve put into keeping this home. They are going to miss it when they move.

        Hi, Pam,

Does the home have a finished 3rd floor and servants’ stairway? Thanks. Sun porch and/or sleeping porch? Thanks!

I don’t recommend asking agent questions in comments, I don’t know if she monitors here. Please call Pam at (601) 831-4505.

Very rare when the kitchen actually fits the house. Too many old houses out there with state of the art kitchens that look so ridiculous.

I was thinking I could just paint my kitchen cabinets like these in this house. Love the color. I have a small Victorian cottage only 1600 square feet, but a kitchen with these colors might spiff it up, except…I know nothing about Victorian kitchens or their color schemes.

The kitchen looks so welcoming and serene! And I love the care that went into decorating the room with the tester bed. The paint, wallpaper (or is that fabric?) and drapes with their elegant valances pull the room together beautifully. Like the kitchen, it seems like such a calming space.

Drop dead gorgeous Great Room, Stair case & Dining Room! I thought the Kitchen was perhaps a special Butler’s Pantry since the sink and counter is so low. Most likely, originally there was another kitchen somewhere on the property for servants to prepare large meals. Yes, the owners have been great stewards of this property.

yup the kitchen. as you say nice to see a kitchen that matches the house and not some cookie cutter thing from HD. and the dining room – so perfect but the crowning touch (besides the lady on the newel post) is the Inglenook of all time. I’d live there and to heck with the rest of the place.
At the same time, it seems like a lot of houses lately are being branded Prairie that don’t have much relation to Prairie beyond a little dark woodwork. This place seems more Arts and Crafts than Prairie.

If I could convince the spouse to move I wouldn’t give this a second thought. Deeply in love and have been since seeing it in The Help.
