Fancier interior than I imagined. Wish there were more photos. Seems priced low for the region but the location may be a factor. I’d classify this one as a “sleeper”.

Terrible photos. They make the house look so grim, when I am sure it has so much potential. I especially love the lamp on the newel post.

I noticed the price drop, and I wonder if they discovered some major problems with the place. It obviously needs a lot of love. That would be an awesome project for some of those HGTV renovation shows!

This is a Nicole Curtis gem waiting to be revealed! I have been through the house several times, and thoroughly, and it is superbly built. The pictures don’t come close to doing it justice. The challenge, is dealing with the asbestos, which hasn’t yet been remediated. Otherwise, it would be a stunning rehab with virtually all of the original woodwork intact. The kitchen and bathrooms need full makeovers. All of the rooms are nicely sized, even the bedrooms, and the dining room could be an entertaining showpiece.

I just found this house on Google images. I grew up in Barre and this is the house I went to day care in when I was 4 and 5 and I am now 69. That is not the kitchen I remember. It had old white wooden cabinets and I can still see a deep low drawer painted white with cans of Campbell’s Soup in it which we had for lunch everyday. I had a blanket on the floor in the kitchen next to the stove as my nap place. The 3rd interior picture is the dining room – notice the outlet in the middle of the floor which would have been under the table, possibly for a toaster or a lamp.
