This home was built in 1869 and former owners were Jackson Grimshaw / Moses Kingsbaker. A little history: former owner Jackson Grimshaw came to Quincy in 1857 from Philadelphia and became a partner of Attorney Archibald Williams until 1865 when he then became an IRS tax collector until the year of 1869 at which time he moved into this new home. He served in Quincy as a prominent member of the local Republican party. He passed away in 1875. By the year 1882 Moses Kingsbaker owned the house and remained until his death in 1908.
